The multiple-award winning 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai is ready reintroduce you to its restaurant, Palette – honoured by Michelin Guide as one of the top 50 restaurants in Chiang Mai each year since 2020.

Palette distinguishes itself for its commitment to organic, locally sourced and quality ingredients, supporting numerous farmers and producers in and around Chiang Mai. The chef then uses his creative wizardry to turn these gorgeous produce into some of the best dishes you will find north of the Chao Phraya!

From now until August, a special six-course Chef’s Tasting Menu will be highlighting and showcasing some of the best dishes created in Palette’s kitchen. With an emphasis on local, dishes are guaranteed to be as healthy as they are tasty.

Start off by with a refreshing tuna sashimi served on crispy bites of butterhead lettuce dribbled with wasabi salad dressing; this vibrant mouthful setting the stage for the many courses to come.

Next, sip from a spoonful of silky and creamy green pea soup, swirling the delicate flavours around.

The quinoa pea fritter is a lovely contrast to the soup offering crunch and richness cut by the tart yoghurt cheese for added flavour. Seasonal ingredients are also added, in this case, zucchini, topped with a jaunty sprig of mint and squeeze of lemon.

The palate is then cleansed by Palette’s tangy Bilimbi sorbet, a sweet and sour offering to get you ready for the next course.

There are two highlights to choose from for the main course: the Australian grilled lamb chop, tender and succulent, served with carrot and ginger puree, grilled vegetables and red wine sauce; or the pan roasted salmon wrapped in zucchini ribbons served on a bed of zucchini slices, with sauteed peas with garlic, carrot, leek and celery and topped with garlic lemon jus.

End the feast on a classic, the mango and sticky rice cheese tart. This is currently one of the best mango seasons we have had in a while and the sweet flavours of the firm mango flesh when contrasted with the umami of the sticky rice is a classic. But Palette offers its own little twist to this favourite dish!

Price 1,370++ baht per person or 1,770++ baht including one glass of wine.
